So, who is The Morrigan?

The Morrigan is the Celtic Goddess most commonly associated with Death, Destiny, Fertility, Sovereignty and War. Additionally, while a contentious topic among the various groups of larger Morrigan devotees and/or priest/priestesses she is often also credit as being a sexual goddess. Having used sex as a vehicle to achieve her agendas historically.

The Morrigan’s symbolism is most commonly associated with Crows and Ravens. In addition there are mixed reports about certain other creatures potentially falling under her domain. Many followers report personal experiences having to do with verbal or telepathic messaging regarding a potential “Coming storm”.

The Morrigan is most often depicted as being a gathering of three individual entities while still being a whole. Anu, Macha, and Badb are the most commonly accepted “forms” she may take. It’s important to note that while this is the common (dare I say, forced by certain devotees sects) understanding there are multiple accounts from followers that often depict a singular entity presenting as The Morrigan. Your results may vary, and may be specific to your practice/needs.

This is the base level information surrounding The Morrigan. There are many different beliefs among devotee groups now-a-days surrounding: how she is to be worshiped, what relationship you should (or can) have with her and ultimately “What is acceptable!”.
